Webcomics Wizardry:

Want to learn the fundamentals of creating your own webcomic? Join award-winning webcomic artist Star Prichard (TheStarfishface) for an introduction to everything you need to know to get started in the exciting world of online comics. From developing your story to building an online presence, Star will share tips and tricks to help you bring your ideas to life and find success online.

Following the presentation, there will be a work critique and feedback session. Feel free to bring works in progress, share your ideas, and ask any questions you have about the webcomic medium.

About our Presenter:

Star Prichard, aka TheStarfishface, is an artist from Austin, TX. She graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in animation with a minor in storyboarding. Currently, she works as a freelance comic artist and illustrator. She is most well-known for her webcomic Castoff, a fantasy-adventure series about a group of magical misfits on the run from the law. The series began in 2015, and is still running, updating every Monday and Friday. Additionally, in 2021, she published her book How to Webcomic, a comprehensive guide to making online comics. She is also a YouTube creator, creating art-related content including art/writing/webcomic tutorials, her "Art + Storytime" series, and drawing livestreams.
